The Ryan Matura Library at Sacred Heart University is committed to supporting the University’s distinctive mission. The staff of the Ryan-Matura Library is here to support the university community in every possible way that we can. We are user-oriented and are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of service. We play the leading roll in providing both the tools to support research and information about the research process. In order to best meet our users’ needs, we provide the only mandatory quiet study area on campus (top floor of the library), group study rooms fitted with high-quality AV equipment, and personal study booths.

Medline Plus is the most authoritative and up-to-date health information Web site from the world’s largest medical library, the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health. Here are a few of its major features:

MedlinePlus directs consumers to dictionaries, organizations, directories, libraries and clearinghouses for answers to specific health questions and then matches consumer language to medical terminology.
